Fundació Joan Miró
When I was in Barcelona, I took the opportunity to photograph the Fundació Joan Miró. The building was designed by the architect Josep Lluís Sert, a close friend of Joan Miró.
The Fundació functions as a centre for contemporary art and is dedicated to the work of Joan Miró and other artists of the 20th and 21st centuries.
The foundation was established in 1968 by Joan Miró and Joan Prats. Their intention was to support contemporary artistic experimentation and make art accessible to a wider public. The Fundacio was opened in 1975.
